End of an era…

As promised, exactly two years after this would have been posted, a new Disassemblance comic and the final comic in very long story arc.   However the importance of this comic doesn’t end there.  This is also the final comic in the first era of Disassemblance.

Long time readers of Disassemblance will note the similarities of todays comic with the very first Disassemblance strip posted. The comics are meant to be book ends to the first era. Both feature Ethan and his shadow self Evan, but the tone and the conclusion of the comics are very different. This demonstrates the change in Ethan over the years of Disassemblance, as well as setting the stage for the future of his misadventures.

Next week the new era begins… Set two years into the future…

Transcripts

Evan: cigarette? Ethan: What the fuck... given the way my life is going, lung cancer could only be an improvement. -- Evan: Ya know there is a party this weekend. Interested? Ethan: Will there be excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages and illicit drug use at this little shindig? -- Evan: Anything you can handle, bro. Ethan: Good... -- Ethan: I could use a little brain damage.

Glad to see a new strip but not thrilled with the ending. Sorry Brynn, its great to see new Dis art though.

  3. Interesting pivot points. I am curious to see what the new era brings. Glad to see the art continue.

Confesses I am hoping to see some Running w/Glue.

And hopes Ethan finds a place of self-satisfaction. It can be very hard in both this world and his.

Yay! I’ve been waiting for a new strip for ages! Can’t wait for the new era to begin and see more of Ethan’s adventures.

No adequate words, really. I’m not into webcomics to any great extent, but Disassemblance is one of those high-calibre ones that has kept me dropping back in intermittently for the last couple of years, in the hope that a new strip would come. The wait is finally over.

Thank you, Brynn, and I hope this “new era” is markedly positive for you, after all you must have been through.

    Adam. x
